Bring Meaningful Conversations Into Your Community

A man in a gray suit with a blue checkered shirt standing against a neutral beige background.

A speaker who creates space for truth, healing, and accountability

Lovingson Mtongwiza is not just a speaker—he is someone communities invite in when the conversations matter.

His work centers on men’s health, emotional regulation, and the prevention of gender-based, intimate partner, and family violence. He brings a rare combination of lived experience, cultural awareness, and professional depth—creating spaces where people feel safe enough to engage, and supported enough to stay.

Rooted in both personal story and community work, Lovingson approaches every gathering with humility, respect, and the understanding that healing happens in relationship—not in performance.

Why Organizations Bring Lovingson In

Because the work requires more than information.

It requires trust.

Lovingson creates environments where:

  • People feel seen, heard, and respected

  • Culture and spirituality are honored—not overlooked

  • Difficult conversations can happen without shutting people down

  • Accountability is present, without shame—but not without truth

.

A Voice That Bridges Worlds

Originally from Zimbabwe and now rooted in the Northwest Territories, Lovingson brings a lived understanding of cultural complexity, identity, and connection.

As a Black man, a husband in an intercultural family, and a father raising two daughters, he understands the realities of navigating difference—while still building unity.

This perspective allows him to:

  • Respect Indigenous knowledge and community leadership

  • Offer an outside perspective without imposing it

  • Create bridges between lived experience, policy, and healing work

.

Speaking Into What’s Often Left Unsaid

Lovingson creates space for honest conversations around:

  • Men’s mental health and emotional suppression

  • Gender-based and intimate partner violence

  • Breaking cycles of harm within families

  • Healthy masculinity and accountability

  • Forgiveness, reconciliation, and restorative approaches

He uses storytelling, humor, and presence to open people up—while still holding space for the deeper truths that need to be faced.

Because real change begins when we move beyond awareness…
and into responsibility.

.

This Work Is Personal

Lovingson lost his elder sister to intimate partner violence.

That loss shapes how he shows up.

It’s why he can sit in rooms where the pain is real—without rushing it, avoiding it, or minimizing it. It’s why he speaks to men with both honesty and understanding.

There is no performance here.

Only presence, care, and a commitment to doing this work in a way that honours those affected.

Approach to Community Work

Every space is different. Every community carries its own history.

Lovingson works in ways that:

  • Recognize the impact of historical and intergenerational trauma

  • Respect local leadership, culture, and ways of knowing

  • Create room for dialogue, not just delivery

  • Support long-term thinking around healing and prevention

This work aligns with the ongoing responsibility of building safer, more connected communities—through how we listen, how we engage, and how we show up for one another.
